Southwest Overview: Cross-Model Climate Projections

Arizona, California, Colorado, Nevada, New Mexico, and Utah.

Here, we consider big picture projections for water stability and heat increases across the region, as well as what to expect with our best current understanding of tipping points.

The outlook for the southwest has nationally significant food system implications. For our friends who grow in the Midwest, more and more states in our region are making grants available for small and mid-sized farms interested in fruit and vegetable production. That's an important response to the serious outlooks in the parts of AZ and CA that grow so much of our nation's produce.
